CVD Posted April 18, 2008 Report Share Posted April 18, 2008 Compaq Presario V5000 laptop, Windows Xp Home SP2, Ati Radeon Mobility Xpress 200.Hey there, After login in XP the screen goes black without mouse, sound, nothing.I can only log in safe-mode, VGA-mode or disable the Ati video. If the former, what did you do just before it started?Can you (from Safe Mode) do a System Restore back to before it started?Also, do you have anti-malware systems installed, and have you recently done a full scan of your system?
