Windows Vista Won't Boot!

Hi guys,

I recently installed Vista on my machine with a clean install of XP on another partition on the same drive. I wanted to restore the XP backup I made a while ago so I popped in the Norton Ghost CD and restored it to my XP partition. But now I don't have a boot manager. It goes straight to XP and I tried the automatic repair from the Vista Install CD. No help. Also, I ran "fixmbr" and "fixboot" from the Vista CD command line. Those commands don't even exist anymore.

Can someone help me get my bootloader back?

Welcome to the Windows Forum.

What Windows version did you install first - XP or Vista? (To determine what boot manager you have used.) If it was the XP boot manager, then you simply change the boot.ini on XP back to what it was. If it was the Vista boot manager, then you will have to look it up on the Microsoft site, as I don't know the Vista boot manager.
