It's all been in the office.A year ago my company gave me a PC to take home and use with all XP Pro company-installed. Now a few things are not right, such as IIS not present and although I am admin, without direct net domain connection any more there are a few things I can't do, such as make major changes to the OS - IIS fresh, which I can't do without the company CD or network. Can't even upgrade to IE7. IE has company name stamped all over it...It's time to wipe the lot and reinstall the lot as mine, but is it worth it? All I need is a Windows XP CD (or is it a DVD?) with a license key but officially it's £189 for Pro or £80 for Home, so can anyone tell me the difference between those versions, please? I need to get SQL Server 2005 Express, Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, etc installed, which are, already, which is annoying.I am a Mac User only, at home, using a KVM for these machines.
