A very slow disk check

When I turned on my computer, it automatically start disk check. The problem is, the disk check is very slow, 1 percent of checking is about 15-30 minutes. Could someone tell me what causing it and how to solve this problem? Thanks.

Usually CHKDSK will tell you why it has been scheduled before it starts running. The reason could be that a disk error was detected, or that Windows was not correctly shut down.

If you can't see such a notification before it starts, try to look in the Event Viewer, once Windows is running, if you can see any clue in there.

The weird thing is that problem (slow disk check) doesn't happen when I'm doing CHKDSK manually using Start>Run>cmd>CHKDSK. It only happens on startup. Any clues?

When i try using fsutil dirty query G: (G is the hard disk that keep checking on startup). It say G: is not Dirty.

But when I'm using chkdsk using /f /r parameters (chkdsk /f /r G:), it give me same problem (really slow disk check).

Could someone tell me how to solve this problem. Thanks.
