alexsabree
Hello, I Have Windows Server 2008 Datacenter 64bit and I need to be able to install Windows Media Player on it. There is a role called "Desktop Experience" that I think will install that for me, but somehow my server manager will not start up and I can not install any more roles. (Crashes on startup)First of all I cannot find Windows Media Player 11 for Vista, looks like its XP only. What should I do?
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum.Try here?P.S. there is indeed no download for Vista; meaning it's already part of Vista. Can yo check Add/Remove Windows Components?
alexsabree
Well its a part of Vista, but not a part of Windows Server 2008 by default. Normally I would just install the "Desktop Experience" role to install WMP. But the server manager crashes everytime I try to access it. An update just screwed it over for some odd reason... don't remember which one, I installed them all at the same time.
