Acidtek
When I shutdown win through start or by pressing the power button on the IBM T43 notebook, win won't shutdown itself. The window says - logging off-saving your settings and dissapears, leaving only blue screen with the mouse cursor. I have to hold power button to turn the computer off. I found an article on microsoft support relating to that, but it says it was fixed in sp2, and I already have it. How to make win shutdown properly? ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
"Something" is keeping Windows from completely shutting down. Make sure that you close all applications before shutting down. Check the Event Viewer if you can find any entries for the time when you try to shut down.
