Carlo Gambino
Hello, I have configured Remote Desktop on my XP machine to allow me to access the machine while I'm out of my house. I have been successful to the point that I've been able to connect through the network, but this morning when I came to my office I entered XX.XX.XXX.XXX:1234 (my external IP and the port I forwarded) , and when I omit the port the connection is refused either way. Is there a trick that I'm missing to get RDP to connect from outside the network?
Tanmaya
Hi Carlo,As you have configured RDP for your XP system, May I know, Does it have Public IP assigned? As when you try to access from your office, its (may be) completely different network than your XP system's network. So to access RDP over the internet, you will need one Public IP for your XP system.
