downloading zip files

hello there,

i'm not too sure what i've done but when i download zip files i no longer get the zip folder, it seems to automatically extract and places some, not all, of the files on my desktop.

it wasn't doing this yesterday afternoon, did i check a box that changes its behaviour.

Can you confirm about the browser that you have used? Because in every browser, you can specify the temporary path to store downloaded files. As you can see in my Mozilla Firefox, I have specified 'Desktop' for storing the downloaded files.

i use firefox myself. i have seen that screen before on windows. how do i find it please?

i still doesn't explain why i no longer get the unzipped folder to my desktop which i definately did do to begin with

ooops, just found the screen on firefox(not windows) but the same problem stands

Hi Andy,

Kindly go through following screen shot, it specifies about the file type to be handled by the program, so that you will get better picture about its handler. And lastly, if it does not solve your problem, either system restore or reinstalling firefox is the best :lol: option.
