tslice
I was cleaning up a friends pc (deleting temp files, defraging, removing junk software he doesn't use) and it locked up during defrag and I had to reboot. Upon reboot I got an error that a .dll file necessary for windows to boot is missing. (I don't remember the exact file name, but if necessary I can find out.) Anyway, there are some slightly important files that need recovering, and my friend no longer has the windows install software that came with his system. What can I do to fix this pc?
