Primo Posted October 13, 2008 Report Share Posted October 13, 2008 I am having the same problem when trying to re-install windows xp from (i-386, winnt32.exe) my computer a dell desk top did not come with the windows cd but it does have the option to re-install from this particular folder(winnt32.exe) however when starting the installation I get a message saying this folder did not copy (c:$win_nt$.~ls\i386\mstask.ini) it also gives me the option to skip it but I don't know how important this file is..it also tells me to boot from this cd but since i don't have it...please help!!!!By the way my hard drive is partitioned I have c and d and I think d is the one you re-install from.I also have the key from vendor that is not the problem!!!
