y2khardtop Posted October 21, 2008 Report Share Posted October 21, 2008 assuming your bios lets you boot from USB, and you have a bootable USB drive, sure.Otherwise, a boot CD makes a decent operating system. You can run Ubuntu (linux) or UBCD4Win (XP) from a bootable CD. It creates a ram drive to hold the OS while your running. It does take quite a while to boot, however.
