Windows XP failure to load?

Windows initially loads up, but when I click on my profile, a box comes up that says,

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142) click on OK to terminate the application. This message is found in a window that has bcmwltry.exe - application error across the top of the window. Once I click on OK, the same window just keeps coming up.

Any help would be great. Since I can't access Windows, I'm about ready to do a complete reinstall. Thanks.

Welcome to the Windows Forum.

Don't rush to reinstall Windows because of such a minor problem, rather try to fix the problem first.

bcmwltry.exe is the tray bar process for the Broadcom Corporation Wireless Network software. This process gives you easy access to the software related the product above and can be removed to free up system resources.

Do you have that software installed?

Try to boot into Safe Mode and uninstall (or disable) it from there. Now you should be able to boot into normal mode.
