USB Flash Disk not recognized

Recommended Posts

I have a Kingston 1GB USB Flash Disk - it works fine showing up as Device "F".

I bought another one - exactly the same - but Windows doesn't recognize the device although it worked fine on another PC.

When I investigate the problem on my PC, the info I get is something like "there is no pilot sowftware for this USB" (I say "something like" because the msgs are in French). When I try to instal the software through the Windows problem solver, I'm told there is no higher upgrade for the software that's already installed.

Thanks for your help!

Michael
