Slow Network File Copy Performance

I have 2 Vista PCs on my home network. I have a folder shared on one, and it's mapped as a network drive on the other. I try copying large files back and forth and I am only getting 2-3 MB/s copy performance. On XP, this was limited more by the actual 10/100 speeds of the ethernet. I found a thread that talked about De-selecting Remote Differential Compression, but this did not help. Any other suggestions?
