ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum. If you install more than one Windows OS on a computer, then Windows will automatically activate the Boot Manager, so that you can select which Windows you want to boot at startup.Normally that should not be a problem at all. However, Vista introduced a new Boot Manager, and this is where some problems come in: the install sequence. The Vista Boot Manager works fine whenWindows XP is installed firstVista is installed nextIf you turn that sequence around, then you have a problem, and you will have to configure the Vista Boot Manager manually.I don't know how you lost your logscreen, but I think it has something to do with the above.Regarding the server install on the 3rd partition; you may get another problem if you install the 2003 server, which is XP-based. 2008 should be ok, since it is Vista-based. I think you will just have to configure the Boot Manager again if you install a 2003 server.

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I personally - and I believe a number of other forum members as well - have no problems with French and German. However, this forum's official language is English, so that most people from around the world can join and follow our discussions.Google has an excellent translating service at http://translate.google.com/ - it is far better than any computer translation I have seen before.P.S. please do not post your email address in this forum (or any public forum), as we don't want harvesting bots collecting email addresses for spammers here. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Can anyone tell me why people want to install more than one OS ?There can be many reasons for it.at home we have an English & Japanese dual boot system; my partner uses the Japanese system, I use English.at the office I use a multi-boot system with English & Japanese XP, to test English & Japanese software versions. Additional partitions could be used to test software on Vista or Windows 7.Other people would want to use Windows & Linux in different partitions, e.g. for different tasks.Or you buy a new computer and it comes with Vista. You hate it and want to install XP, but you don't know if the devices are compatible with XP. So instead of overwriting Vista, you can install XP in a separate partition. Once you are sure that XP works OK, you can delete the Vista partition. Or just wait until you can upgrade Vista to Windows 7.
