terazen Posted March 23, 2009 Report Share Posted March 23, 2009 Hi,Our regular computers are named computername.domain.com and our AD computers are on computername.ds.domain.com. If I wrote a script to just do name lookups on computer names to ds.domain.com would that be an accurate list of which computers have been added to AD? My thought was that if the name lookup fails it isn't on AD yet. I'm not sure if it's possible for a pc to register in AD DNS without being added so I'm unsure if this is a good test.Some computers have been added without updating our database so I'm trying to get everything up to date the quickest way possible to figure out which ones still need to be done.
