The123king
Hello,I've been suffering from GDI leaks in both IE7 and Jzip that i've never noticed before. Is this possibly due to malware or is it a known problem with the software?I've run HijackThis and analysed the log to no avail. I'm now running Malwarebyte's Antimalware scanner to see what that turns up...EDIT: Seems like the IE7 GDI leak is well known. What about the Jzip leak? ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum. Can you be a little bit more specific: you have been "suffering" from GDI leaks, but you have never noticed it before. So what exactly did you suffer?Almost every application leaks resources in one way or another, mostly due to sloppy programming, but there are other reasons as well. Unless the leaking is so crass that we really suffer (application crash, slowdown, vulnerabilities), then we will simply have to live with it.Best practice: keep all your applications up-to-date (including GDI). IE7 has been superseded by IE8; I don't know what Jzip is.
