How to hide certain file-type automatically?

I want to have windows hide a certain file-type automatically. I'm an editor and when I load video files into my projects, the software creates number of cache files next to the original file which leaves me with a pile of files that I don't even need and it gets very annoying.

Is there anyway to hide all files with the extension (for example) .sfk upon creation of the file? (maybe something to do in File type tab in Folder Option?)
