Manually creating thumbs.db

Recommended Posts

I was wondering whether there is a way to manually create thumbs.db file within a subfolder which has images(wallpapers)?

Why would you want to do that? If you have the View set as Thumbnails and in Folder Options>View tab you have it set to cache thumbnails the thumbs.db files will automatically be created. Note that the thumbs.db files are hidden files.

No, its not automatically created always. I have my folder set as Thumbnails and have all system & hidden files shown, the thumbs.db file for that folder is absent. Also there is nno such option as "cache thumbnails". I use Vista
