mazzzterz Posted July 6, 2009 Report Share Posted July 6, 2009 Hello.I'm running windows xp and today I was showing to a friend how to install windows xp and on the screen where create and deleted partitions I deleted the two partitions and created two new ones and after that I pressed F3 to quit and restart when computer restarted: NTLDR missing... The changes to the partitions were saved and I think its thanks to F3 because I did this before and I didn't have changes to the partitions but then to restart I used the button on the computer not F3. So, does anyone know how to solve this because it's not only the partition where my windows was messed up but the whole hard disk. I'm wondering what will happen if I just convert the file system of the partitions to NTFS(because now windows recognize them as UNKNOWN) but I prefer to ask instead of doing something I'm not sure that will mess things even more. Format it as NTFS, then reinstall Windows.P.S. you can edit your posts in this forum for 15 minutes; after that the Edit button will disappear. Sachin CHAVAN Posted October 25, 2012 Report Share Posted October 25, 2012 Fix the MBR there is no need to format or to do anything there are a several softwares available or methods available to do so on websites just search it happened with me too and i recovered from it without formatting or reinstallation but i forgot that link but it was very easily available......:) all the best don't worry.....
