ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
How are you trying to apply the service pack?Have you checked your system for malware? Are you running any other stuff while applying the service pack?
fbk
I have tried to install SP2 with Vista using Windows Update and then (i have used System Restore) using the the file that I have downloaded by Microsoft site. There is always the same error that seems to be an old problem win2000-Xp(?) as you see by the Microsoft internet page that I have linked. I have "checked" my computer with Avira and 2 anti-malaware software and it seems that there aren't virus\malawares. I have closed all the programs as suggested when i have tried to install SP2 ...but the "Remote Call Procedure"-problem persist.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Before installing a Windows service pack, I usually recommend to run through a set of steps, like these I have documented for XP-SP3; please have a look at them. The error message you are getting may not mean much; it simply shouldn't happen during an SP install. From where did you download the offline installer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935791#Method3 ?
