tkempton
Ok, so I am running windows 7 final release, but I believe I also had this problem with vista before upgrading. whenever i copy files onto any usb device, being external hard drive or flash drive, the transfer speed starts off at usb2.0 speed, and at about 50% transfer it slows down a lot! with a 4GB kingston memory stick it starts at about 10Mb/s and by about 70% of 1GB of data its down to about 60 Kb/s. this happens with every usb storage device i use, not just kingston memory sticks. I'm running a toshiba satellite L300D.
