sataie
each time I turn on my windows XP home PC, I get the following message:microsoft Kill Utility has encountered a problem and needs to close ....... then asks if I want to send in error report.also my secured wireless is inactive and I have to go to my wireless properties and click on 'let windows automatically configure the wireless' in order to make it working.my question is what is this kill utility and why do I have to go to my wireless property and check the box each time to get it working. not getting any other errors and the pc is working fine. thanks for your assistance
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum. The two problems may actually be related.what is your XP version - all updates installed?what is your wireless device; do you have the latest driver installed? christy
In this the one thing that matter is installation of latest version of wireless software. Some times if we do not update it the problem persists, on the other hand sometimes you are using the corrupt version of windows that only supports few utilities and not to others. sataie
I'm using windows XP home with all upadtes. I even did a manual check for updates and have no critical or optional updates pending. my wireless card is 802.11g pci adapter from encore electronics model: ENLWI-G2. there is no updates for the cards.new problem is that at start up each time it would ask for a password. On this forum, it was mentioned that I can use 'control password2' and uncheck where it says ask for password. I did that, and now I can not get it. the admin box pops up at startup and pressing enter does not do anything as it used to get me in before. any help is appreciated.
