So i also installed Vista, because Windows 7 was a Japanese Version. After installing i noticed that Vista is showing RAM: 2987, however Windows 7 shows 4GB RAM. I have heard that Vista 32bit is by default programed to see 2GB or a little more than that but cant see 4GB RAM.So i saw this tutorial, which can make vista 32bit see 4GB RAM (a little less than 4GB)Enable 4GB RAM in Vista 32 BitNow my query. I wanna ask, if it is OK to force Vista 32bit to see 4GB? Will it affect the performance?BTW i am on Intel Core 2 Duo 1.40GHZ. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(But it then will also come with a US English keyboard - which I do not like very much, because all the keys are in the "wrong" positions.) And also this is my Uni Laptop and i have to do some Japanese Reports also, so i decided to go with Japanese one.BTW how is Windows 7 going? I havnt used it much, i have been using Vista, with all Development Softwares like Visual Studio, Arduino etc. Also most of the devices here in my Lab have vista and Xp drivers, so i am a bit hesitant to upgrade to windows 7.
