I type in Dvorak, and had a support tech provide me a registry key(keyboard.reg) that I clicked to override the user account's Qwerty default. I am moving companies and still have the registry key. Will it work if I try to install it in Windows XP Pro? My attempt to get the manager to ask about changing the keyboard layout for me has fallen on deaf ears...Thanks. So I would say that you can apply these settings to XP as well.However, as always if you do some manual (or quasi-manual) registry changes, I recommend a full registry backup (ERUNT) or a System Restore Point, so you can go back if it does not work as expected. I requested permission to install it and it has been reviewed by the IT department. The department head has not approved my request. So in essence I am screwed...I will have to relearn how to type QWERTY. Do you know if XP Pro will allow registry keys to install without admin privileges like 2000 Pro? Thanks again for your help!
