Win7+IE8 problem: "dynsrc"-command not using Enhanced Video Re

I just registered because I can't find a solution for a very long time now. Normally I find out about problems with time, but in this case I don't know what to do anymore. I have an HTML-file which has an MPEG2 video integrated via command <IMG DYNSRC="nameofvideo.mpg" LOOP=INFINITE>. Under my Win7/IE8 setup this works well with my CyberLink MPEG2 decoder.

The only problem is the old Windows renderer that gets connected to the CyberLink MPEG2 decoder by default: VMR7 instead of EVR! To solve this problem I upped the merit of the EVR to an extremely high value. In the tool "Microsoft GraphEdit" the merit change had perfect effect when tested: There the MPEG2 video now opens with CyberLink MPEG2 decoder plus the EVR by default. But in IE8, still using the IMG DYNSRC command of course, now the following happens after that successful merit change:

IE8 indeed connects the Cyberlink MPEG2 decoder and the EVR to the video by default as well. But the video is not shown now! There's not even a square with that icon for failed load. Not even an empty spare space. Nothing. Why does IE8 not work with EVR when adding video to an HTML-page via IMG DYNSRC? Is there a registry entry change or something like that that can make it work?

Hi,

Your question is quite technical, I think if you post it in a web development forum you will find an answer faster. I guess its a compatibility for IE8 that is causing the problem.
