crovax85
Hi GuysGot a problem with playing wma audio files on windows xp professional. The ProblemI've company have a website that have links using mms:// to open windows media player or any other audio player. When i click on some of the links. the files streams properly and i get to listen to the whole file. But some times, a certain file will only stream 6-7 seconds of the clip. Each clip is definitely longer that 6-7 seconds. This is happening on some computers but not others. And the weird thing is that each computer has different files that are affected. Meaning Computer A cannot play File X properly but Computer B can play File X properly. And Computer B cannot play File y Properly but Computer A can File Y properly. The Computers that are affected have the following specs.Pentium 4 2.8GHz512Mb RamWindows XP Professional SP280GB Hdd with 30GB Free.I have tried using different browsers, different audio players connecting to the internet via wireless and wired. None seem to help.I have other computers in the office that work and stream the files with no problems at all.The 4 computers that are affected are refurbished. But i do not know what could be affecting it even if the computers are refurb.Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!PS have posted the same topic on another forum. really need help to fix this. so hope you dont mind. pa1916
Looking at your computer spec Your RAM should be 1GB SP2 is unsupported as from the 10/07/2010 you should download SP3,the fact that WXP is over 9 years old and in extened support you sould upgrade the OS,software and hardware have come a long way in 9+ years WXP is passed it's best now.My comments are based on desk tops.
