drluggo
I had my laptop configured to connect to my work domain and always logged in to connect to that domain. I wanted to temporarily connect to my home workgroup to transfer some files so I changed the login such that I could connect to this workgroup. I did everyhting I needed to do and now want to connect back up to my domain and am not able to do so. First, I cannot even login to the local account and profile that I always used for the domain. This makes sense so I log in under another admin account that I have setup. Then, when I try to change from connecting to domain instead of workgroup, it cannot find the domain controller unless I create VPN connection to my office network. I can do this fine and it accepts my VPN credentials and finds the domain controller. However, when I try to login, I get an access denied error and cannot login.I tried the same thing using the network ID wizard and it actually connects to the domain and tells me it has found an account for me "Do you want to use this account?" I say yes, and then get access denied. Any suggestions on what could be causing this?
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
The only advice I can offer is to contact your network admin; s/he may be able from the log files to determine why you get an access denied error.
