How do I share folders over the network, but not with other users.

Hi, everyone. This should be pretty easy but I'm new to windows 7.

I have a desktop PC running Windows 7 Pro/32. I also have a laptop running XP Home. I have a couple of folders on the desktop PC that I would like to share with my laptop. However, I do not want to share these folders with any other user on the desktop PC. I want to keep them off limits to all users except the logged on standard user, and the laptop.

Since XP doesn't support Home Groups, I can't use that option. Also, the public folder shares files with every user that has an account. How do I share folders to the laptop so that no other user on the desktop can have access to them?

Some more details:

The desktop PC has 2 accounts set up. 1 administrator account which remains logged off and 1 standard user account which I run in all the time. When I have a guest use the PC I enable the "guest" account but I don't want them to access the shared folders.

The laptop has only one user account set up, the default administrator account.

The laptop shares an internet connection the the desktop through a Linksys router.
