Installing programs from a network

Recommended Posts

I need to install software from my network, but the normal procedures for doing this are failing. Windows' website tells me to click on "Programs" and click on "Get Programs". There is no "Get Programs" option absolutely anywhere in this menu.

I tried switching to classic view, thinking the option is hidden from whatever view I was in, so I click on "Programs and Features" and click on "Install a program from the network." This option does not exist on my menu.

What is going on? Do I need to reconfigure my network connection? Help?

I am running Windows 7.
