Kraiklyn
Hello,Just had the error 651 unable to connect to router error. The router worked fine with win7 yesterday but not today, the router is fine as another xp machine is still able to connect to the internet. I have googled this and there seems to be no definite solution? It certainley seems to be a windows problem though.Anybody has a definite cure? ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Resetting (power off) the router would be a good start.

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
How is it connected to the router - cable, wireless?Did you try to run Windows network diagnostics?
Kraiklyn
it is connected by cable, the cable is fine i have used it to connect another pc ok. I have run the connection trouble shooter, it just says there is a problem with the router, i have also run the diagnostics from Dell, its a dell pc and this showed no errors. I have googled and raspppoe.sys seems to be a common culprit, the advised fix is to replace it with a vista version, not sure i want to download a system file!!!
