baardr
I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 with a Intel T7800 cpu. This was running on Vista and was very slow. Cpu at 100% almost all time. Installed Windows 8 on a new hdd. CPU now runs at 2-3% in idle, but I would have wished for more power when the cpu is loaded. In resource monitor it seems to be limitated to max 16%. I tried the CPU-Z software to check the cpu. It says that the cpu clock is running at about 400Mhz instead of the 1800 Mhz that it's supposed to run at.Disk and memory is not limitating the speed. Cpu and all other temps is < 50 C.Any suggestions? Is it normal that the Cpu clock is slowing down because of low load on the cpu?
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
According to http://ark.intel.com/products/31729/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-T7800-4M-Cache-2_60-GHz-800-MHz-FSB your processor should be running at 2.60GHz.
