Blanch87987
Hello! Here is my issue:A few days ago, I accidentally deleted some stuffs on my new laptop as I was trying to install windows8. It totally screwed up everything. But, these deleted stuffs are really important to me. And my sister told me to use Recuva and said it could be a chance for me. But, that did not work well on my laptop. Is she right? What should I do next? I have to get these stuffs back? Please, help me!
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
It depends what you did after you deleted these files. If the physical locations were overwritten, then it is impossible to retrieve them; if you did not do much after the deletion, tools like Recuva have a good chance to retrieve these files. Best way to retrieve lost files: get them from your last backup.
Blanch87987
The deleted files often could be restored at the aid of data recovery program as long as you’ve not overwritten them with anything new. Do you have saved anything new on the same computer drive? If so, part or even all of your previous files may be overwritten by these new files and gone permanently. However, don’t give up! You also could try other data recovery programs to take chances. I know there are some drive data recovery programs available online that could work as efficiently as some paid ones, such as Recuva, TestDisk and iCare Data Recovery Free, etc. I hope you could always remember to save all your important files on several drives in case of similar problems. OK! Thanks for your prompt replies! I had tried all your mentioned data recovery freeware yesterday. The first one scanned my laptop in seconds. But the result was not so satisfactory. Many of the restored stuffs could not be opened. And the second one and the last worked well on my laptop. But, only the last one restored all my wanted stuffs back. Thanks a lot! hooday
If the data hasn't been overwritten, Recuva free can get your data back. The paid program R-Studio is very capable of data recovering. Of course, if the data is very important, you'd better go seek help from the professionals.
