SPJ Posted February 13, 2014 Report Share Posted February 13, 2014 I've managed to paint myself into a corner and have to ask for help :-oMy setup is a laptop with a high-res external lcd (connected via d-sub vga cable). I set up the *external* lcd as *primary* display and extended it to the *internal* display.The problem now is that my new/other *external* lcd has less resolution than the original one. This means that when I connect it and press "Detect" it only shows "resolution not supported". The catch is that I cannot change the resolution because all windows and controls have moved to the primary, but dead display and my laptop only shows a blank screen with only the wallpaper!Any ideas on how to get out of this trap?Thanks!
