gunn Posted October 25, 2003 Report Share Posted October 25, 2003 hellooo......i'm using windows98 now n because of wanted to create my own server, so i installed windows server2003. but after i installed server2003, win98 couldn't be booted. it said something wrong with the memory allocation. but server2003 doesn't have any problem. it can be booted. for information: from server2003, i can access win98's data. n i put win98 as former in my harddisk memory, n i put server2003 as latter in my harddisk memory.Can somebody help me??Thank's for anyone who help me.. Craig Posted October 26, 2003 Report Share Posted October 26, 2003 It may be a possibilty that 2003 Server has overwrote some critical 98 files on your hard disk.It may also be a probabilty that 2003 does not support dual booting with 98 was it is a realativly old OS.If you want to use your PC as a server, you may be better off installing Win 2003 sever edition on its own anyway, it's not often people want to use a server as a personal computer.That said though, you may want to try and upgrade your 98 installation for XP Home or XP Pro, then install 2003 sever.
