Hey everyone. I'm wanting to try out Windows 8 because I have a full version of it (I believe) but I don't want to overwrite my Windows 7 in case I don't like it. I'm completely new to this and almost screwed up my computer last night but thankfully fixed everything. I partitioned about 40GB of space on my C drive to make room for Windows 8 and whatever other files. I have Windows 8 burned to a disc and I'm booting it up and when I go to choose where I want to install it, I'm choosing the unallocated space on the C drive that I created, but I'm getting the message that I can't because "The selected disk has the maximum number of partitions of this type." Any help on this? I'm not sure exactly how the VirtualBox works but I'd like to run Windows 8 straight from my computer to see how it works. Is VirtualBox recommended or can you all help me out with some other kind of fix? Thanks.
