  1. Thrown out old keyboard & mouse & replaced. Both are USB. XP fails to detect them at logon. I can use the keyboard in BIOS & have checked BIOS to make sure that USB is not disabled. So, I can't logon in either normal or safe mode. There are no PS2 sockets. The USB ports are working because I can plug in a Flash Drive and see it in BIOS boot options. I have tried mouse & keyboard in all six USB sockets, restarted, waited for several minutes but still they are not detected. I have now run out of ideas. Can anyone out there help at all?
