  1. Hi all, I still do not use Windows but try to help a person who does. After a Windows-machine (Windows 8, I suppose) had been left with a computer-service for maintenance, the Internet-Explorer shows all program-labels in menus and message-boxes in English instead of French. While the rest of the system speaks French and the user is accustomed to accessing almost everything "net" by means of the Explorer and apart from that does not understand English, this is terribly inconvenient. I found out that Google-Chrome is installed on the same system and that it correctly displays all labels in French. But neither in Chrome, nor in the Internet-Explorer can I find a configuration-option which permitted to change the display-language specifically for that one program. Windows is set to display all in French and in the "control-center", there does not appear to exist an option which could explain the exception made by the IE. While Chrome is a valid alternative, it is almost out of the question that the user change her/his custom. Could you give me a hint on where I can look for the missing option? We will try to find out, how the system has been modified during maintenance, but I prefer to understand this issue myself. Thank you in advance.
