blank Posted May 16, 2004 Report Share Posted May 16, 2004 hi all, newbie here today i started up my pc and zone alarm detected a new network, i have not connected to a new newtwork, so i told zonealrm that it was not trusted but it is still active, it has an ip adress which i am sure in not mine for verizon dsl, i am on win2000i did a search on ARIN WHOIS and found that it's fromOrgName: Internet Assigned Numbers AuthorityOrgID: IANAAddress: 4676 Admiralty Way, Suite 330City: Marina del ReyStateProv: CAPostalCode: 90292-6695Country: USdo i have a problem? should i be worried?thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
-pops- Posted May 16, 2004 Report Share Posted May 16, 2004 First of all, :welcome: to the forum.Have you checked who this is?Have a look at click here which may explain who the organisation is that Zonealarm is trying to block. These checks are being constantly carried out all over the place.I fairly sure you don't need them so let ZA do its stuff.Don't get too paranoid about the things that ZA tells you about. Most of the time there is nothing untoward. You might consider adjusting the settings of ZA so it doesn't want its hand holding every time it finds something. If you want to know how to do that, either look in ZA help files or wait for someone with more knowledge about ZA to explain.
