andsome Posted June 15, 2004 Report Share Posted June 15, 2004 I have already queried this, and a link was posted a few days ago to some independent tests. The message is that you leave the program set in configuration to use 100%. It will only do this when nothing else is running, but backs off as soon as you open another program. Umpteen different tests were run and NO discernible slow down of the computer with the folding program running were detected, except when playing very fast games online, and the drop in performance was about 1%. I have it running 24/7 on both PCs and they are both used for stuff like gaming (not solitaire :lol: ), browsing, watching movies, ECAD (computer aided simulation), writing some programs etc. and I can do all this when F@H is running in the background without any slowdowns.
