Guest ellas Posted March 13, 2003 Report Share Posted March 13, 2003 running two xp computers,same browser,updates,same connection swapped over etc,only on this forum I do not get the full address on topics all I get is this on this one http://forum.windowsforum.org/ yet on the other one I get the full link,I have checked I/E settings and they seem to be the same,this is annoying as I cannot link to topics on this forum any ideas. bvw Posted March 13, 2003 Report Share Posted March 13, 2003 Have you tried repairing IE6?You do need the XP disk for this by the way.Click [start] [Run] and type sfc /scannow in the [Open] box.(Note that there is a space between sfc and /scannow)That's the only option I can think of I'm afraid :( unless you want to try Opera of course :) I'm still learning about Opera at the moment, downloaded it last week. Seems quite good and a bit faster then IE6. Might be easier than fiddling about with repairing Internet Explorer, you can transfer all your favourites over from IE in a second but it won't transfer cookies, so you have to remember all your passwords.
