Scarecrow Man Posted July 15, 2004 Report Share Posted July 15, 2004 First off, go here to find out what those start up programs are, there is a great list, so you can go through all your start programs.second, I've used both Norton, and ZoneAlarm, and I find each has it's ups and downs. Norton, I find takes a long time to load, whereas ZoneAlarm is almost too secure, and can get confusing when a program attempts to connect.It's a matter of personal preference, but I'd use ZoneAlarm. They have a free version that will offer you a good amout of security. I've not tried the full paid for version, but it sounds really secure.
