catgate
It also emerged today that a pledge to increase rail travel by 50% by 2010 has been scrapped. The Times reported that rail travel has increased by 5.8% since 2000 and is expected to rise only slightly over the next decade.A DfT spokesman said it was more important to improve the performance of the network for existing passengers. He said: "For everyone who travels, it is about how reliable and punctual their journey is." Everyone, that is, apart from Road users!!!
