smacks Posted August 13, 2004 Report Share Posted August 13, 2004 Hey guys,I've been havin' some real trouble trying to get rid of this problem where when i load my computer this countdown begins and it says lsass.exe is currupt or something along those lines.... I read up on the sasser virus and it was exactly what was happening to my computer.... I tried everything and even reformatted the computer and to my horror the countdown began again..... what do i do to get rid of this wretched problem? any help would be extremely welcomed Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

On a seperate PC download THIS FILE and install on the infected PC.On a seperate PC download a personal firewall such as ZoneAlarm and burn to a disk. Install the firewall on the PC. Reboot.Connect to the internet. Visit Windows Update and install all critical pacthes. Install a free Anti Virus such as Avast! 4 Home Edition or AVG Free.
