andsome I thought you may be interested in this. If you scroll down to Norton AV 2003 you will see that there is a problem with the startup scan,if you are running SP2. This is my problem and also in NAV 2005 which I have now discarded. You may find that your prog. is not running at startup.

No bother at all, thanks for your post, you were being helpful. I followed your link to Symantec, and the post above is from Symantec's page on the subject. Your link was from Microsoft, so somewhere the two company's are getting their knickers in a twist.

I agree that there is a conflict of advice. But as my NAV 2003 has stopped scanning at startup,I can only assume that MSM is correct in my case. Symantec,on this subject, say they have stopped giving Tech. support for 2003.So there you have it.

If I had known that SP 2 was the cause of the problem I would not have spent all the time I did,trying to find an answer.
