moon
One of my greatest annoyances , as a multi-browser user, is the importing/exporting of bookmarks and favourites, not just because it doesn't always work as it's supposed to, but also because I frequently lose them when reinstalling or upgrading. So, this looks interesting to me- Powermarks.http://www.kaylon.com/power.htmlIt's a standalone app. so you can just open it after browser fiddling or reinstalling your software and all your stuff is safe. You can even store it online for free in case of a total disaster. When you open it you can just select a URL and choose which browser to open it with. This is handy for sites that are Internet Exploiter dependent .It's $24, so if anyone knows of a free app. which will do the same job let me know before I buy it. :)
Guest be@vis
I don't think any bookmark is worth $24. I save my bookmarks as an HTML file on a small partition I use for storage - it's a simple matter of importing them if anything should cause me to lose the originals. It's never failed yet. -pops-
I agree with be@vis. Potentially useful but not worth $24.I am tending more and more to stay with Firefox and my visits to other browsers are becoming rare, except for those sites that won't accept anything other than I.E. Guest be@vis
Another mangled quote - nothing seems to be working for me today, I think I'll go to bed!
moon
Well I'm one day into the trial. It adds an icon to Internet Exploiter and one on the toolbar for other browsers. One click and a URL is saved, with a range of description options, one more click and all your new URL's are saved safely online. You can synchronise all of your different browser's URL's with one click too.Rather cool. B) I think I'll buy it.
