JesusJones
Hi,I am running windows xp SP2. Until about 2 days ago everything was fine, then i started noticing severe lag doing everyday things that never made it this bad. After running NAV AD-Aware and spybot it is still lagging VERY badly. When I open my task bar and go to processes this one little process MCSVR.EXE is eating anywhere from 50-98% of my CPU usage. In order to type this alone I must end task this process several times because everything locks up from lag. After end tasking it, the lil bugger pops back up in my processes. MY question is how do I tame this beast and remove it permamently? I have tried deleting straight from the folder it is from c:\windows\prefetch and it pops back up there again!Anyways help anyone???Thanks,JesusJones
bvw
You're using a Sony machine ?I'm not to sure about this, and it may depend how long you've had SP2 installed, but you could try removing SP2 for the time being.
