Scarecrow Man
I have 2 partitions both XP home both thunderbird 0.8I want to keep all e-mails and accounts and transfer them over to the new XP.I know thunderbird keeps all e-mails in C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Thunderbird\profiles\profilename\mail , but what do I do with that folder? A direct copy into the new location deletes any mail already there.

Gagaman
I reinstalled Thunderbird some days ago. I copied the inboxes here:C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\66em6hmh.default\Mail\Local FoldersandC:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\66em6hmh.default\Mail\pop.pi(--> pop.pi is a second email account I have)than saved that copys on another location.I reinstalled thunderbird, and pasted the original inbox files in the new profiles of thunderbird. It worked here.... didn't lose any mails.
