Programmer
Hello Everybody,The documents’ icons are not displayed anymore after nForce reinstall. Icons of .EXE files are still displayed correctly, but all the Microsoft Office suite, PDF, etc, are displayed as default icons for no file type. The good news is that when you click on it, it still initiate right application. However, it’s impossible distinguish a file’s type just by the icon’s look anymore. All suggestions, advices and explanations are welcome.I don’t know particular names for the resource – files where these actual icons are stored. In addition, I can suppose that some incorrect action of some software, nVidia’s nForce let’s say, moved the OFFSET for the documents’ type icons. Those icons are not stored in shell32.dll, and Adobe Reader’s icon is not stored there either.Attachment is included.Sincerely,
djohn
It may just be that the Icon graphics are corrupted. Try taking your screen resolution up a notch from your normal setting, then back again.
