tangles
when attempting to delete a program in "add remove programs" I took a system file away aswell, not sure how it happened, my computer then froze and I restarted it. When attempting to load windows a windows setup screen appeared and told me I had to enter a product key to continue to windows, I entered a product key and it accepted it then while continuing to load windows it said explorer has perfore illegal operation ect. stoped loading and I rebooted, no windows setup screen this time but same illegal operation, when I tried loading windows by step by step confirmation it said something like I was missing a certain system file and it couldnt start up without it. Is there anyway I can load an older log of my system files in order to get into windows? last time I had a problem similar to this the repair shop re-installed windows and charged me $100 and I had to spend hours restoring files. Im running win 98.
